A mobile app that lets you fill a pyramid with colourful treats.

Designing a mobile application that let customers place and customize their order is a great add on for the “Yemas” brand. To summarize, the brand is a multi-flavoured candy that comes in on a pyramid shaped box in great quantities and numbers. The accompanying app is basically the front-end extension of the brand that sits between the customer and the product. It is important that the app as a sales associate, to provide ease of shopping as well as the capability for the brand to offer the freedom for people to customize their orders. This way, the brand can multiply itself into different instances and elevate itself from other competitors. With a series of war framing process, I designed a concept appropriate for an easy shopping experience and a clean system that facilitates a custom based freedom that would be allowing shoppers to control the quantity of available flavours they order.

Established brand is carried and adapted for the mobile app.

The first part of the project is to create wireframes that outlines the different instances of pages including the loading menu, main menu, sub-pages, customizing window, cart page, and so on. The next phase is to carry out the branding established from the main product design into the mobile app including its logo, colour palette, and aesthetics. I then worked on the user experience doing research on what would the ideal customers require for this kind of product. Basically, I’ve arrived to the conclusions that “Yemas” would come in sets that includes assorted and individual flavours. The design of the app is based on the idea that users can have much more freedom and opportunity to customize their order. Hence, to have the ability to control the quantities of flavour they want when ordering.

Accommodating app and brand.

Overall, the adapted sleek and clean design carried from the original product design allowed a unified brand between the main product and its mobile application. The implementation of a straightforward user interface allows for an easy and unique shopping experience window, perfectly appropriate to the varied nature of “Yemas” which comes in different sets and quantities. The way that the app is structured allows a more accommodating experience adhering to the requirements of its target consumers.
